Visits to our website and demo site
When you visit digitalacademy.org or demo.digitalacademy.org we record the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the site that sent you, and the IP address you connect from, with its approximate city, state and the organization that owns the network, which we look up in the public internet registries. We use this to understand which schools are interested in Digital Academy and to improve our sites. We don’t use advertising trackers or sell this information, and we set no cookies to track visits. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we record nothing.
If you’re signed in to Digital Academy as a teacher or administrator
Your visits to our website and demo site are linked to your Digital Academy account through your sign-in, like your other activity in Digital Academy.
If you use Digital Academy as a student or parent
We don’t record your visits from a browser you have signed in to Digital Academy on.
If you ask us for a demonstration
When you fill in the form on our “See Your School in Action” page, we keep what you enter: your name, school or organization, email, phone number and anything you add, along with the IP address you send it from. We link your request to the pages you viewed on our sites during that visit, so we can follow up about what interests you. We use it only to contact you about Digital Academy, and we don’t sell it or share it outside Digital Academy.
How long we keep it
We shorten IP addresses after 30 days, and delete visit records after 12 months.
